We hosted Son Lee Hun, the Representative of Daeyeon-Wooam Community, at No. 18! Daeyeon-Wooam Community aka Cheoltop Maeul - Pylon Village - has been on a struggle to secure a right to their unauthorized houses for nearly 20 years since the Busan University of Foreign Studies bought the land in 1988 followed by several attempts to demolish the houses in the area. After years of struggle, the university decided to move their campus to Geumjeong Mountain in Namsandong, Geumjeonggu in 2011. Now the question is who will buy the land from the university? Due to presidential election, there won’t be any threat of demolition this year… However, there’s a concern how the situation will go next year.
